1. What strong points does the speaker have?

I think my strong points were voice, eye-contacts and gestures. I think my voice was very confident and loud enough. Also, I made eye contacts to everyone. I used various gestures and I think they were big and open.

2. How well did the audience get to know the speech subject?

I think the audience got to know the speech subject quite well because I explained the meanings of unfamiliar words like 'Ham'. Because all the audiences were Korean and in case that they had never heard about the words such as 'soles, jujubes and chestnut', I used the appropriate pictures. Moreover, for the 'jujubes' and 'chestnut', I also told them about how we call them in Korean. For example, "The mother-in-law threw jujubes, as in Korean, '대추' and chestnuts, '' to the bride's skirt."

3. Did the speech reflect adequate preparation?

Because I worked really hard and practiced a lot to prepare for this presentation, I think my speech reflected adequate preparation, even though I made some grammar mistakes.

4. Did the speaker talk clearly and audibly?

I think I gave my presentation clearly and audibly because my voice was loud enough and confident. However, my speed was not steady and at first, it was quite fast because I was very nervous.

5. Did the speech have a definite opening, body, and conclusion?

Yes, my presentation had a definite opening, body, and conclusion because I followed the book to clearly organize my presentation.

6. Please comment on the speaker's use of notes/eye contact.

Because I wanted to challenge myself and the students were recommended not to use notes for this presentation, I didn't use any note but I got help from my ppt slides. I made eye contacts to everyone and I think this is one of my strong points.

7. What could the speaker have done differently that would have improved the speech?

Because I was very nervous, I made some language mistakes and the speed was not steady. Also, the flow was cut off quite often because I was nervous and couldn't come up with the next words easily.

8. What did you like about the presentation?

I think my presentation topic was quite interesting because it was also my first time hearing about the traditional ceremonies like 'sending Ham' and 'hitting the groom's soles'. Searching information about them was fun because they are very unique.

    1. What strong points does the speaker have?

One of Jeonghee’s strong points is her clear voice. Her powerful, clear voice made the presentation easy to understand even though the topic was not so familiar with me. Moreover, her body language and proper stresses and pitch in sentences made the presentation more dynamic. She was confident and fully understanding what she was saying during the presentation.

    2. How well did the audience get to know the speech subject?

Although there were no direct responses from the audiences, I think she explained the process of traditional Korean wedding really well.

    3. Did the speech reflect adequate preparation?

Yes, I think she prepared thoroughly. She made and used visual aids appropriately to help her audiences’ understanding, and memorized what she is going say during the presentation. Thus, she didn’t need to use index cards.

    4. Did the speaker talk clearly and audibly?

Yes, she did. Her voice was clear and audible. (However, due to the technological problem, it became blurry at the end of the video.)

    5. Did the speech have a definite opening, body, and conclusion?

Yes, she did. In introduction, she started with the interesting fact about traditional Korean marriage, and made it clear how long this presentation would take. In the bodies, she used transition words to distinguish each steps clearly. In the conclusion, she summarized the process making the process

    6. Please comment on the speaker’s use of notes/eye contact.

She was giving eye contacts to everyone during the presentation, and didn’t use notes at all. Great job!

    7. What could the speaker have done differently that would have improved the speech?

Overall, her presentation was flawless, but if I had to choose one thing, I would say her presentation could be better if she wrote fragments instead of sentences in the power point.

    8. What did you like about the presentation?

I liked her reenacting of “Get this ham!” and gestures during the presentation. They made the presentation interesting and complemented the visual aids.
