I checked my presenation twice.
I think volume of my voice was okay or at least big enough for audiences.
The speed of speaking seemed bit fast but not that much in general.
However, even if I was the one who presented it, I could not hear some words from the presentation.
In additon, at first I did not rely on my manuscript, but as time passed by it seems like I had a tendency to check it frequently. Therefore, the number of and the interval of eyecontacting with the audiences decreased a lot, which gave me the impression that the presentor, I myself, was doing one-way communication lacking interaction with people who were listening to my presentation.
So if I do a presentation next time, I need to consider how fast I should speak, how much I should rely on the manuscript, and how frequently and long I should make eyecontact with audiences.
Lots of things to improve over the courses left.

It was not an easy assignment for me because it's totally new experience taking a video of my speech. It's different from giving a speech to audience right away.
And it was helpful to see my face talking in English.
I could find my habits when I'm talking, and I tried to correct it.
One of the habit that I found was that I use the word 'and I...' a lot.

It was the first time for me to present in English for 4 minutes. However, it was a great experience!

I didn't prepare powerpoint so I didn't have visual aids.

During the speech, it was very difficult to memorize the writing. I tried to eye contact with my classmates but it was very hard for me.

It a time to know myself by watching video of my own. I hope i'll do it well next time.

Interesting experience it was. I had number of presentations in regards with my major, but never recorded myself.

I could see my silly habits that make my presentation unprofessional.

;Talk too fast, eyeballs running everywhere, using improper words. (I didn't know that the word came out of my mouse. and I apologize)

Actually, it was a little bit akward because I had only 4 classmates in front of me during the presentation. Because if you have 40 people, you can speak to audience lookin' at the air. But I had 4 and I had to look each. At least I tried... Plus, I tried not to see the camera. That made me look stressed in the video.

Anyway, it's really great to know 'bout myself little more. I'm truely glad that I had a chance. Maybe I can do better next time.

It was a first time for me to present in English for 5min in university. So I forgot how to prepare it..

I wrote 2pages of script, and it was too much. After I watched my peers presentation,

I realized that I put too much information! (I wrote twice as much information as other people)

Not only it was very hard work for me but also I couldn't memorize the script completely...

And had fear of couldn't finishing it  in time.

But I learned how to prepare presentation! by watching other peers pt.

So If I have a chance to present again, I expect that I will be a better presenter than now.

Although it was quite streneous, It was very meaningful experience!

It was great to present in front of my classmates. However, it was my first time to present in English for about 5 minutes.

Also, I wanted to use visual aids such as the video and ppt. So I had to prepare more than others.

I prepared my speech comparing myself with Yuna Kim. It was meaningful to recall how I lived 2 years ago.

During the speech, I had difficulties memorizing the numbers and also the right moment to click.

I think it would have been better if I had spoken louder. I think I would perform better if I memorize all my words.

I think I presented in appropriate pronunciation and speed.

This is the link for my first presentation project.
While editting the clip, I mistakenly omitted some introductory part,
so I want to write down the script here.

Though it is not that good, I expect you guys' feedback!
Thank you : )

<Script>
Distinguished listeners: Inseo, Jayoung, Bniel, cameraman(Hyejin), and professor! It's a great honor for me to stand here. Today, I'm here to give you guys a short speech about a person who I admire. Guess who he is! He's Martin Luther King. From now on, I'm gonna tell you about him based on these : his life story, achievements, and why I became to admire him.

First, a brief story about Luther's life. Martin Luther was born in 1483, in Eisleben(아이스레벤), Germany. When he was young, he actually studied hard to become a jurist to live up to his father's expectation. Interestingly, however, one day, after stopping by his house, he experienced a lightning falling right next to him while returning to a city called 에르푸르트, where he studied. Considering it as a message of the God, Luther then began to live his life as a priest in spite of his father's rejection. In the monastery, he studied based on the Bible, and it had been a big help for him to solve his faith-related concerns.

After then, as a reverend, he'd achieved countless things. Among them, I'd like to take one of the most famous, impressive achievements for my speech. It is so-called "Reformation". At that time, Roman Catholic was corrupted a lot by its ambition. So, they wrote and sell indulgence, which was believed to escape people from their sins. Against this kind of move, Luther did post up "the Ninety-Five Theses" in front of the church of the Pope, which showed how Roman people of that time pawed the air in a trap of Roman Catholic. Finally, on October 31st, 1517, Luther separate himself from the Catholic, and made a new division of "Christianity". Also, with a hope for all the public to easily access to the Bible, Luther translated Latin-based Bible, especially that of the New Testament, into German.

Then, why do I admire him? For me, it is not easy to take such a bold position against misbehaviors of others, especially against the authorities. However, Luther showed his boldness. Also, his ability to translate the Bible naturally confirms the fact that he is at least a bilingual. How fabulous he is! As a matter of fact, despite not being a "founder", he is believed to pave the way for the modern form of unified German. As a Christian student majoring in Linguistics, he is the one that I cannot help but admiring.

Concluding my speech, I'd like to show my ambition, reflecting one of Luther's most famous speeches. "I have a dream that one day in the future, I will be able to live a life where I become to be held in respect of other "peoples" across the world".

Thanks a million.

My brief self evaluation report

First of all, It was my first time of recording my own presentation and watch through it. Adn actually, it was my first academic English speaking presentation. It was okay during the record and presentation, but when I just finished my presentation and watched my own presentation by my eyes, I wanted to erase it right after. My face looked horrifying, my voice was awkward, my gestures were awkward, and my pronounciation was bad too. Everything was awkward but I didn't went back and try again because it have meaning of my first academic "recorded" English presentation. I've learned a lot of factors-I have to speak little more slowly, I have to pronounce properly, I have to study more gestures and openings&closers. I think I can do better next time because I worked hard and studied a lot by this presentation.

In the first place, I thought it would be quite easy to give a presentation in front of only four people, because usually I am not so nervous of speaking in front of the whole classmates. Plus, I have taken a presentation video for my class assignment last semester, so I thought it would be a simple task for me.
However, when I gathered with four students and turned on the video recording, I was so nervous that I had to take another shot. I was confused of where to look; the audience sitting in front of me or the camera lens? Also, I guess a small audience makes me more nervous than the large one because when I have a whole classmates of 20 or more people, I can stare at the wall of a room and I can have eye contacts with random people. However, when I had a small audience of 4 people, I had to have eye contacts for nearly 1 minute with one person, and that made me so sensitive about her facial expressions.
Although it was not as simple as I expected, I am sure that it was a very helpful experience for me!

It was a great experience for me topresent in front of the classmates about the person whom I admire.

By making a video with the presentation that I made, I was able to look back at myself and find out some problems.

Even though I had some experiences of making presentations, it was always a difficult task for me.

After watching the video of myself, I thought that it would be better if I could make various gestures.

Also, when I am presenting for the next time, I want to look more confident.

I wish I could see my development in presentation skills  throughout this course.

It was a first time taking a video of my speech for assignment. It was very awkward and difficult to give speech to audiences.
But, I think it was helpful and worthy experience to see myself while giving speech.
I could find my bad habits, and now, I can give an effort to correct them.

Please ignore my previous post.

Making a presentation in front of four peers was a good chance for me to overcome my shyness.

I believe my work could have been better if I used more gestures and spoke a little bit slower and

louder so that everyone could understand me more clearly.

Also, I found out that my facial expression directly shows how nervous I am.

In my next attempt, I would have to try to smile.

It's my first time to record my presentation with audiences. I think that it is good experience for me!

Before recording the video, I felt ashamed a little bit. Even I thought, 'why do I have to record myself?' But after recording and watching myself, I could know my real attitude of my presentation. I realized that when I felt nervous, my English intonation became awkward. I think that tension in presentation never disappears, so I do my best to get accustomed to the tension. This assignment is really good experience.

(I am uploading my video again because I wrote the class time wrong. Please write comments to this post.)

It was such a precious and fun experience to give a presentation about my role model in front of audiences.

I tried my best for my presentation but unfortunately I made a few mistakes.

Because I was very nervous, my speed got faster and I didn't pause properly. Sometimes, I also paused

However, I think I did give my presentation in a confident voice and I tried to use various gestures.

I should practice on keeping my speed and using pauses appropriately.

I also hope to find my own style of giving a presentation.

It was great time to tell my own vacation plan to my peers! Really thanks to my audiences.

What I learned through my presentation was I not prepared for presenting...

Although I practiced a lot and even show my presentation to my parents, I almost forgot what to say and how to see my audience freely.

I was scared having eye contact with my peers and used bundle of 'uh' or 'ah'.

Presenting something in front of others is not easy for me yet.

But everybody would be same, and nervous as I do, so I wish I could get better and improve after mid-term is over.

My problem is swinging hands and making some pause which is not necessary.

Next time, I will correct it:) NICE EXPERIENCE I think!

Kim Eunjin/ Unit2 presentation/ Wed 5-6

I've never taken a video of my speech before so this was pretty hard and awkward experience.
After watching my video, I realized that I spoke bit faster than I expected and I didn't pause properly.
I was so obsessed with the thinking I should be perfect on my presentation without mistakes and it made me nervous and stiff. So it seems like I was just reciting what I memorized rather than giving a presentation.
I think I need to practice to speak naturally and comfortably and not to get nervous too much when I'm giving presentaion infront of others. And also I need to pause properly to give the audience impression that I'm not that nervous to make them comfortable.

I would like to say that if I try to memorize things I just mess it up. Before I tried to memorize things and because of being nervous I lost a competition in a Tv once :( . So I just try to understand and practice on it. I trust people can do good presentation with enough information in confidence. So this time I think I did not feel nervous. After all, the subject is my country. But I wish I could do better job. I would like to try to take more better presentation video but I was sorry to my friends. :)

But I gotta say, that time we made a great team-working in a coffee shop...

It was my first time to watch my own presentation.
I realized that I said too much "ah..." and held index cards too high.
Instead of saying "ah..", I should practice to pause properly without being afraid of silence.

I was kind of confident before doing presentation, but presenting with camera recording was definitely different from what I expected.

Although I memorized the whole script, I kept checking my script because of the nervousness.

I think I should be more relaxed with presentation, thereby I can concetrate more on the presentation itself and care about audiences.

I'm very happy to have a presentation about a person I admire(My mother).
It really makes me respond my mother again!
And I think I reduced my stage fright by preparing my presentation.
But I should reduce the number of watching my script.
