My brief self evaluation report
First of all, It was my first time of recording my own presentation and watch through it. Adn actually, it was my first academic English speaking presentation. It was okay during the record and presentation, but when I just finished my presentation and watched my own presentation by my eyes, I wanted to erase it right after. My face looked horrifying, my voice was awkward, my gestures were awkward, and my pronounciation was bad too. Everything was awkward but I didn't went back and try again because it have meaning of my first academic "recorded" English presentation. I've learned a lot of factors-I have to speak little more slowly, I have to pronounce properly, I have to study more gestures and openings&closers. I think I can do better next time because I worked hard and studied a lot by this presentation.

Title: The person who I admire the most
1. What strong points does the speaker have?
I think she was well-prepared because she memorized almost every words. Also it was nice that she was smiling all the time through the speech.
2. How well did the audience get to know the speech subject?
I didn’t know who ‘Park, Tae-yoon’ was but I got to know him through her speech. She introduced the personal details of him and also his great achievements in his career. His life story was interesting as well because he overcame gender discrimination only by his ability.
3. Did the speech reflect adequate preparation?
She seemed to be very confident about her speech. She rarely looked down to her note card and that means she memorized all of her speech. This definitely means that she practiced very much!
4. Did the speaker talk clearly and audibly?
I could clearly understand what she was saying and her voice was loud enough. I think it would have been better if she had slowed down a little bit though. Her pronunciation was nice.
5. Did the speech have a definite opening, body, and conclusion?
I could notice where the speech was going and follow her well. I think this means she had conveyed a well-organized presentation.
6. Please comment on the speaker’s use of notes/eye contact.
She rarely used the note card and that was very impressive since I also prepared my speech and it was very hard not to rely on the note card. Instead of reading the cards, she constantly made eye contacts with her audience.
7. What could the speaker have done differently that would have improved the speech?
I assumed there would be more pages of her PPT but there wasn’t. I think it would be better if she chose whether to make more pages of the PPT and use it, or not use it at all. Also I think her speed of speaking would be perfect if she slowed down a little bit.
8. What did you like about the presentation?
First, I liked the story she prepared. Also I liked her smile and confidence while talking. She looked prepared and I think she put a lot of effort on this presentation. Her gestures while speaking made her look confident as well. It was very nice!
